Every wheelskins cover kit comes complete the quality nylon lacing cord, a lacing needle, and a detailed illustrated installation manual. The pre-punched lacing holes have a patented lacing hole reinforcement. This prevents tearing during installation, makes installation easier, and speeds up installation. Normally installation takes about one hour.
3. How do I know the correct size Wheelskins steering wheel cover I need to order for my car or truck?

If your vehicle is not listed, you can order a custom made cover. To order a custom cover, you only need 2 measurements. You will need to measure the distance around the grip. Measure at the top of the wheel, at the 12 o'clock position, and include the thickest point of the finger grips. Then measure the diameter of the wheel. Input this data for your order, and you will get an excellent custom fit.

6. My steering wheel has very wide spokes. Can I still use Wheelskins with these wide
spokes?
Your illustrated installation manual will demonstrate the way to deal with spokes. Our experience is that you use what is known as the "dummy" stitch for a spoke over 2"wide at the rim contact point. The "dummy" stitch, as well as other lacing techniques, is demonstrated in the instruction booklet.

Wheelskins recommend that you only use a mild hand soap and clear water to easily and gently remove any unwanted soil residue. Since Wheelskins are made from leather that has been specifically processed and dyed for Wheelskins, you must avoid all commercial cleaners that are made to clean and protect other leather products. These all purpose cleaning products are too harsh for a Wheelskin and may damage the top grade finish and dyes.
8. Does Wheelskins have a Gear Shift Boot to fit my vehicle?
Wheelskins does make replacement boots for manual shift vehicles. They manufacture a specific boot for BMWs, Camaros, C-5 Corvettes, Firebirds, Grand Prixs, Hondas, Miatas, Porsches, and Volkswagens. Wheelskins makes a universal size gear shift boot for all other manual shift vehicles. The only automatic shift boot cover that Wheelskins manufactures is for the 1997-2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.
