Introducing the colorful EuroTone, 2 color, leather steering wheel cover in the Chevrolet Corvette is the most effective way to give your interior a sporty, race appearance. Ever since the sport coupe and roadster were introduced, people have been customizing their special car's interior. The steering wheel is always the attention point in the seating area and, for that reason, is one of the first factory designs to get customized. For many years, a large number of after market parts manufacturers have offered custom steering wheel replacements. No doubt, a good quality custom steering wheel replacement will enhance your interior. However, they are usually expensive and require special tools, as well as mechanical skills and experience, to install, unlike Wheelskins.
Many Corvette owners are learning that a leather Wheelskins steering wheel cover is an inexpensive way to modify their roadster's interior. And, best of all, installation of a leather Wheelskins cover is easy. Steeringwheelskins.com has a full selection of Wheelskins products. Wheelskins have a proven record of quality. They have been hand crafted in the USA since 1977 from the finest domestic leathers. Wheelskins are always made from the outer layer, or the top and softest cut, of the hide. Check out our Wheelskins coordinating shift boots and driving gloves that are also made from these great quality leathers.
The Corvette is a sports car that has been manufactured by General Motors (GM) since 1953. The car was originally designed by Harley Earl, and named by Myron Scott after the fast ship of the same name. Originally built in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri, it is currently built at a General Motors assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The National Corvette Museum and annual National Corvette Homecoming, also located in Bowling Green, celebrate the car's history.
There have been six generations of the Corvette produced so far, sometimes referred to as C1 through C6, and various versions with differing features within each generation; the current C6 generation includes the ZR1, which has the most powerful engine used in a production Corvette to date. Over the years, versions of the car have won awards from magazines such as Motor Trend and Car and Driver and from organizations like the Society of Automotive Engineers, and have been used from time to time as pace cars for the long-running Indianapolis 500 race since 1978.
While sold under the Chevrolet marque in the United States and other locations, it is sold under its own Corvette marque in Europe and Japan. The car is built in coupé and convertible versions; the possibility of a sedan version has also been considered by GM executives.
